[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Experimental shot when I just received this new camera and new heavy sigma lens. The solo swimmer at the pool was doing a few laps albeit very slowly that I had plenty of time waiting for him to give a pose crossing the lines below the water. A sign of solitude and a good way to relax and immersed in water to get away from all the work and stress of the day. He had the pool all to himself on this day.

FOR ANYONE WISHING to visit ANGKOR WAT in Siem Reap, I am happy to receive this email note from my driver which reads verbatim as "Hi Bill

How are you doing? are you busy with your jobs? thank you for your recommendation by your website, this is your extremely helpful ,I got some people for you ,they received me to be their driver.
take care and good luck forever
sophea angkor TUkTUk".
I can say he is strongly recommended and you can find his phone contacts given in my traveloque story. He knows where to take you and make sure you are comfortable while in his care.

I had written introductory note for him to be placed inside his tuk-tuk. One day I will return to Siem Reap and meet him again.

Hello,

génaile cette image quelle position quel graphsiem un bien beau naugeur et picine, mangigique.

bravoe t amitié

Nicou

I think the choice of vertical compo is fantastic - really unexpected view of a swimming pool. Simple compo with the one wsimmer and a few lines.

Nice sharp lens... I find my Sigma 70-300 disappointingly 'soft'.. This one looks good.

Cheers
David

hi Bill,
I agree with david, the vertical crop/composition is really good because is unexpected and unusual. I like the movement in the water and the "flattened" swimmer.
I had the luck to swim alone at night in a huge, deserted swimming pool and it's indeed a fantastic and relaxing experience.

Hello Bill!
Very beautiful colours and great detail in your picture!
Lovely new camera and lens! Wow!!! Received.... ;)
Interesting vertical perspective, but I think I like it more on horizontal.
Best regards!
Lili

I like it, but would prefer horizontal, just because it is what is natural. I will flip around and show you in WS! Crisp and sharp, the colors are great!

Excellente composition et couleurs pour cette photo très originale et très réussie. J'ai regardé les WS et je préfère ta version verticale plus "dynamique".

oh oh what a fresh view! and funny to see it so vertical; dont' you shoot it as horizontal? for me that must be the original POv but your choice so it a good one; we are like in a fly!
and all the shadows on the water, nice! cool and zen too!

Ciao Bill

In fact, a picture relaxing in pool
I like your eyes here, the way of how
you waited patiently to capture what
your mind wanted. it appears floating in the green
Emerald's pool.
I like the lines in the composition,
and the color palette is striking!

Greetings,

Sergio

Hi Bill,

Maybe partially because I swim, I really like this photo. It's especially nice when you can have the pool mostly to yourself, as appears to be the case in this image.

On the other hand, I like the basic subject matter and simplicity of the photo. It does have a solitary feeling to it. One of the aspects I love about swimming is that it's a lot like flying and you can achieve that more readily when you're in the pool and free to move about at will.

Richard

Grandissimo Bill! Un'idea magnifica e POV straordinario.

Hi Bill, Good mood flows from this wsimmer in such clean pool water. For a moment it looked like a diver surfacing from far below. The note gives an insight into how a happy spirit helps those around him. Good work. TFS. Murray. PS I am in Sarawak late this month on some oil/gas jobs.

Hi Bill,

what can i say, the composition is just superb. but you were a bit angled from this shot.
this could look perfect if shot directly from above. nevertheless a very powerful image!
