I think the choice of vertical compo is fantastic - really unexpected view of a swimming pool. Simple compo with the one wsimmer and a few lines.

Nice sharp lens... I find my Sigma 70-300 disappointingly 'soft'.. This one looks good.

hi Bill,
I agree with david, the vertical crop/composition is really good because is unexpected and unusual. I like the movement in the water and the "flattened" swimmer.
I had the luck to swim alone at night in a huge, deserted swimming pool and it's indeed a fantastic and relaxing experience.

Hi Bill,

Maybe partially because I swim, I really like this photo. It's especially nice when you can have the pool mostly to yourself, as appears to be the case in this image.

On the other hand, I like the basic subject matter and simplicity of the photo. It does have a solitary feeling to it. One of the aspects I love about swimming is that it's a lot like flying and you can achieve that more readily when you're in the pool and free to move about at will.

Hi Bill, Good mood flows from this wsimmer in such clean pool water. For a moment it looked like a diver surfacing from far below. The note gives an insight into how a happy spirit helps those around him. Good work. TFS. Murray. PS I am in Sarawak late this month on some oil/gas jobs.
