[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Actually i post this pics at TrekEarth but i guess it is in the wrong section.
This Malay couple decided to do outdoor photography after their wedding on that day. They ask me to take their photos and this is the final output. I'm using off body flash and locate it on the right side to balance the sun light behind the couple. This picture taken at Jesselton Point Jetty.

beautiful shot! the background is majestic! composition is great but still can be improved by making the couple look at the negative space, it is only minor and my own opinion... over all an impressive shot! well done... TFS

You should be congratulated on this shot - it is an eye-catching image. The couple are beautifully rendered with nice colour and detail. I'm sure the couple love the shot. My only reservation is that the strong flash light source acts contrary to the light from the setting sun. The result is a rather artificial look - as if the couple were photographed against a still image. But this is just a minor personal thing and I don't wish to take away from a very successful shot.

hello meor,

this is a nice composition, the setting sun and the couple's mood seem to work very well together. however i think that the flash was a little too strong and hard, producing some shadows that could have been filled up better. i think dialing the power down or using a reflector as well as having a lower EV compensation can help.

still a great shot though, and something that i have yet to come up with!

Well lit! Good work..

It's not easy to balance flash against sunlight but you did a great job here. Great capture, nice pose and look from the couple and good composition on your part.

Hi Meor, Very fine wedding photo. A most attractive setting and the flash ensured detail of their faces is there even against the sun, very fine job. The man looks like a very young Dr. Mahathir! TFS. Murray
