[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
this is taken during my lecture...the reddish effect is created by the slide projector....postprocessing with photoshop to edit contrast and lighting due to the difficult lighting in the dark room. personally i think this is shot is lacking something, i don't know what, comments are most welcomed.

Nice angle, but the hand and notes were overly washed out making it kind of anti climax as eyes tend to be drawn towards it.....but then again, there's no way to control the lighting in such situation.

Eleen,

I like the post-processing you came up with for the photo. The book/hand is overexposed but could represent some form of enlightenment if you intended it that way. You are off to a nice start on Treklens. I have made a good friend here on Treklens (and Trekearth) from Malaysia by the name of Rabani. Look his photos up. Especially his Trekearth postings. God's best to you always!

Interesting idea and well realisation. Makes somebody think about it.

eleen. i think this is a very good photo. very well taken and great post-processed done! you have a great sense or 'art'... and i am sure you will be a good photographer too. About this photo, the composition is very well.. the contrasts and the idea of the black and dark area in the photo is very creative too.. and nice framing as well. TFS.

The dark and the light around the "details", nice done, I like your idea very well.

wow, excellent color combination and the symmetrical composition...i just had no idea what was lost here, maybe the darkness in the midst was too wide.....
cheers,
xu

Just went back over your past work. What is missing here IMO is something linking his face to the book. The fact that you blackened that space creates an unnatural barrier between the two important focal points of the photo: The face and what the face is looking at. The overexposed book is less of a problem.
