[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
the girl in the photo is my close friend Evonne. this was taken at another girl's birthday...it was 12 am and we're all very tired after working on a project for 10 hours....all of us are glad to get a break....this was taken with a point and shoot camera, and Evonne was complaining about how horrible she looked after sleepless nights and long hours of work....so i told her i will try to make her look better...what do you think?

i did not like the color of the original...i posted it as workshop, did some pp work to create a little dreamy mood....in my opinion, she looks good....tell me what you think:) she'd want to know too....

pp work - a little of gaussian blur, set another layer concentrated on her face - used luminosity - 30%, and another layer of her face, desatured from the original, then set original to 75% opacity. changed curves and levels. added frame to resemble developed printouts.

She have a very natural smile. Can see her tired eyes but the smile just lighten her whole face up.

Eleen, I like this one better than the original. You did vey good! I'm glad you put in your note the process in APS..
and tell your friend I think she is a fox! :)

la composisioin le arleen horliao. and le foloshop works anleen horliao too. horsey. you got the eyes captured very well.. the tired eyes .. and the photoshop works really did a good job on enhancing the original photo. very well done. see beh hor sey..

la pose de ton amie est naturelle, les lumières sont bonnesmais du côté des bougies je pense à un manque de contraste pour faire ressortir un peut plus les bougies.

the installation of your friend is natural, the lights are good but side of the candles I think of a lack of contrast to emphasize one can more the candles. Beautiful photograph

Yes I think you have managed to give her face a nice luminous softness in look. There is a dreamyness in this picture. I realy like the cake there, also carries a feeling in the lighted candles.

Your friend is very attractive and there is a light in her eyes that tiredness and the late hour can not hide.

The pp work here is good. You made much out of the mood here...
