The shot illustrates DoF really well, Eleen. A pity you didn't capture it entirely, as the top is out of the frame. IMO the lighting is excellent here. Hey, 10 out of 36, that's not too bad ;o). TFS.

This picture along with your note makes one think.. I like the sign being painted (restored) and aging. It reminds me of the the same signs we see over and over and we still ignore.. Very strong image with good DOF and composition.

This is such a good photo, much deeper than the viewer will see with the first glance as your excellent note so clearly point out....also the fact that the sign is clearly damaged adds to the overall atmosphere...EXCELLENT, Eleen my compliments!

very good DOF.. but i think the composition can be improved.. too tight on the sign... just my suggestion.. anyway.. i like the 'meanings' of this photos.. and also all ur photos.. so 'meaningful'...hahaha...happy chinese new year eleen.. gong hey fatt choy!

I like it! I think the composition is great! I like how the chain from the sign leads the eye from left to right...just like reading a book (in English). And, applied with the note you wrote really helps to define the symobilism. A "No" sign in front followed by empty streets in the back...definitely about danger and regrets. The shallow depth of focus is good because with the background symbolizing what may come from certain actions, although forseeable, may not be what you expect...fuzzy danger. Excellent job!
