this one will be my last post for sometime....sad to say, time is a worrying factor and i am approaching a critical time of my studies, so this is a temporary goodbye to all of u great folks, i'll be back:)

this photo is taken at my diploma graduation last year and this is the last one from my album, i found this today, and thought i will just post this one....

the one with the shorter hair on the left is me, with my good friend here, in the university, the day was a really memorable one....

pp work, gaussian blur in one layer, desatured, then the layer above, 78% opacity. resized and uploaded.

it might not be something of great skill or meaningful work, but it was a great moment captured for me....hope u guys like it.

Nice to see you, Eleen. Very good PP work to soften up the portrait as well. I also like the soft edge you used. Sorry to hear you'll be gone a while... I'll miss you! Good luck with your studies. TFS.

Lovely portrait Eleen, your pp work has really enhanced the shot. Sorry your leaving, but good luck with your studies.

This is nice Eleen, it has a nice softness to it. maybe i would have kept a bit more sharpnes on the eyes especially, to have them more in focus. A lovley capture of 2 young beautifull girls.

hi eleen,
first of all, this is a very very great photo.. the value and the meanings of this photo is really priceless!! what a great memory... for ur diploma graduation..!!

and sure its someone else that hold the camera...haha.. but obviously, u did a very good photo-processing on this photo.. soft focus with gaussian blur...everything is just so nice.. and u should print this out in a very large size and hang in ur house.. hehe..

Best of luck with your studies, what a wonderful day for you to remember and framed so beautifully.

beautiful photograph eleen and that all occurs according to your desires.
Friendships.

Nice "formal" portrait Eleen.
Just a minor detail : I would have blurred the people in the background left, they take away the focus from what is important.

Hi Eleen, so glad you posted this meaningful portrait before taking a leave of absence. You have become a special entity here among us and I have enjoyed getting to know you and your lovely post. Study is important now and decisions must be made so remember your place is etched here now and will be here when you return. Good luck and you will be missed....:O)

beau portrait de toi et ton amie!

It aren’t always great landscapes or great panorama's but certainly also great moments we have to record.

Good shot, good PP work, good to see you always, and good luck with your studies. We look forward to seeing you back. I appreciate the diffuse glow and the framing - could have used it myself.

Very good image. It sure does give the feeling of it all, doesn't it? The soft glow really makes it look like a dreamy memory. Good job. And, good luck on your studies!

A soft focus portrait that is very nicely done and the rest of your other picture will be missed. Study is more important, no doubt about it, I wish you the best of luck. Andre'

Beautiful portrait! I just love it!
Charlotte

Good to see your face here Eleen! Nice job on the softening.

You may want to try removing a few portions of the top layer during the proces, for example in the faces.
That way you can vary the intensity of your softening throughout your picture, especially when you play with the "feather" setting of your selection.

Also, try some sharpening on the bottom layer. You will be amazed by the results!
