to:
anywhere, anyone
somewhere, someone

i am trapped somewhere within myself,
find me please, i plead of u
nowhere to run
nowhere to hide....

darkness engulf me as i cry
lost in a world
created by me.

today is one of those 'thinking' day and i wrote this after reflecting on some issues....human beings are complicated. we can be so sure of what we want at one time, and we strive so hard to achieve it, only to find later that there's more that we want....

how come we can never learn to be contented? at the end of wasting our whole lives chasing dreams, we neglected our family, our loved ones, and worst of all, ourselves....somewhere along the line we've lost ourselves, and sometimes we lost our reason to be....

ever felt that way? please do tell me if u disagree.....because sometimes thinking makes me scared....scared of what i might become, who i might hurt....scared that someday i'll look back and see the emptiness, like the black in this photo....

we're different because we're special
we're special because we're different...

i hope we can all value life...fill it with colors....with laughter and with joy, so that when we look back, we can smile and move on....

about the photo, it's just a reflection of my thoughts...i did it on trial and error basis, so i forgot the process, sorry bout that. thank you all for being the place i could channel my thoughts.

comments, critiques and ws will be very much appreciated.

masterpiece, one of the best here on tl

Eleen, this is a well composed picture. The lighting and contrast are excellent.
Your note is sad...I wish that I could be there to help you at this time. I don't know why you are feeling this way, but always remember, you may forget and neglect your family, but they will always be there for you on your return...just give them a chance.
Hugs to you my friend,
Liz

Absolutely gorgeous! Great composition and nice PP. Excellent!

I am so familiar with the feeling Eleen. I have those thoughts all day long now it seems. That black emptyness, a void where we look for answers. We forgett that most of the times the answer are within our selfes, or that there may be no answers. I hope you will feel better soon. As Liz sad, you may feel you neglect your family, but they are there for you whne you need them. Your photo is a wonderfull illustration for what you are feeling.

Very cool. The composition is excellent. Nice note too. The head get's lost in the blackness of space but it still looks good. Nice job. JP

We can never be that lost dear Ellen, we should never surrender to this anguish that sometimes takes control of our lives. Believe me, because I am a true expert as I have been there many times ;-) The answers are always inside us! And you should never fear life, that is the most important of things!
Take care!
Ana

loneliness and anger....

Life is the journey, not the events... And in truth my dear friend. Nothing is lost for this life is but a first stage.

Yes I have of course felt like this. But also I have moved beyond it once I have evaluated that there is more than all this...

More that can be than I can ever imagine.

Very beautiful work here Elleen. Very beautiful picture of you with the stars. Without the text I might have thought this picture could be called rising with the stars....

:)

Great feelings Eleen
Nice shot and nice PP
bravo !

Beautiful composition, Eleen... but I had expected to see some birthday cake ;o).
For such a young person you have some dark thoughts... to which there is only one solution: put things into their proper perspective, and don't let your life live you (if you know what I mean). I suppose you learn these things automatically when getting older... I did.
TFS, chin up and... think "Happy thoughts".

Hallo Eleen,
Very good. all those little stars. Lost indeed. But I think lost in memories or in philosophy.
groet Rob

eleen, this is very nice! the emptiness of the sky is a good reflection of how the emotions can make you feel at times. i like the glow around your body...symbolic of your light inside that still shines - the hope that still lingers...
yes, i recognize this feeling too. i think you did a beautiful job of expressing this emotion.

I always have said... after the dust settles, the view is clear and brighter. Smile life is good. Nice shot for the note... good effects.

ohhhhh yes i know how this feels! aren't human beings strange? it shouldn't be so hard to be happy, but it is.

yesterday was a "thinking day" for me too. i feel touched to know someone on the other side of the world was thinking about the exact same things... you may be trapped in your head but apparently it doesn't look so different from the inside of my head, so that should at least make you feel a bit better!

exellent pictures!
photo tres romantique!
good shot !
bravo!
bye....tanbinh.

How philosophical, these words, dear Eleen....
And your picture, forgotten the process, but this really doesn't matter, it is..... wonderful, what a great mood you've got in this scene with a lot of dark, but also "lights" everywhere.....

Hi Eleen...Excellent work...I like your note...

Hi, Eleen--
This is excellent, a reflection of the fragility of life and the possibilities as well. The lighting reflecting off the body is beautifully done, and helps accentuate the feeling of being adrift. Very, very nice.

Another expressive picture from you. It is amazing at times to see how a human would act just to get what they want. I witness one just today. Sometimes the act just laughable, humiliating at times (like the one I saw today), and another times it makes you sad and rage. But one thing sure is those people have no self confident and self respect. They are the degraded form of a human being and it is not worth the energy to be rage at them. Feel proud of yourself when u a step further from them by realizing what they had done. The world still full of wonderful people... done give up

I had to stop and comment on this wonderful photo and the pp work done on it, with it's simplicity it captures your eyes and the poem is even more touching. Bravo and again bravo.

A very nice one Eleen, very impressive picture, very well done. I like it a lot.
Best regards
Guy

Great! Just great! Composition is excellent, although technically you should make yourself bigger. DON'T! :) That's your emotion and you have expressed it well with your size and the space.
Great job done, TFS.

Robert

A fine image. Well imagined, well executed. One can feel the depth of the feeling. You have caught a moment of suspension in space that we all have felt at one moment or another, yet most of us have not been able recognise that juncture.
Again, Eleen, I have been there ...

I see the photo, and put in my own thoughts also....I of course wish I had spent less time cleaning, more time playing with my 6 children. I loved them, but they grew up and are now gone (as all western children are wont to do). I loved my grand mother, and never got to see her enough, she lived far away, now my grand children live far away. There is no way to control life.

Just amazing!

Wonderful composition, great note..

Bravo, an excellent work, it makes me to marvel your idea and the result. Nice notice too.
Thanks very much for share.

Hi Eleen
I have been an admirer of your photographs for a long time on TL ... you combine your skill with beautiful subjects, but approach them so very artistically - inventive POVs and treatments. I envy your abilities. This is another wonderful example - POV, composition, and PP treatment ... all brilliant.
