[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
this is my second post of the same day, the portfolio review....some of my friends are really getting so bored they are sulking at the corner.

i desaturated the two gals, bringing out the color of the newspaper....the Malay Mail, one of the common press in Malaysia.....a 5 hour wait is not an easy task when you did not have breakfast or lunch, nor any sleep the previous night.....the air's really stuffy, we sat at the coridor, with so many other sweating students....

glad to say, we all got thru this year (our 4th)....so off we go for 6 months of practical training at architectural firms all over the country.....hopefully when we are back, we'll be more charged up.....

this is a tribute to my friends here, going thru thivk and thin together, most of the time we disagree, it's hard to do group works when it comes to design, it's too personal and subjective...so here goes tolerance and team spirit....anyhow....it's a great experience...

today is the last night i will be posting photos in my apartment here....tomorrow i will embark my journey home....driving more than 600km north...i'm happy to leave....this is not home...just a momentary terminal for education....

thanks all for being ever so supportive....hope you like this photo.

A vrey nice tribute Eleen. And congrats for making it through your 4th year. One year less to final exams now ;-) It is always nice to go home as well, when having been away for some time. Yous family will be glad to see you again. Difuse glow and desaturation works very well to enahce the mood of boredom. Great picture Ellen, another one ;-)

Very nice! I like the girls expression on the right side. :) The lighting is great. I even like the black and white and color thing which I normally don't really care for in most photos. I am surprised more people have not commented. It seems like a slow day on TL. :) JP

exellent!!
beau contraste entre le B&W et la couleur!
du beau travail!
bye....tanbinh.

This is the second picture in half an hour depicting waiting/bored people (see Wayne's contribution) Dealing with "free" time can be difficult. Patience is the only solution.
I once read on the back of a camping-car "Home is where you take it". I didn't move from my residence for as long as... your age ;-), but the expression remained in my memory for its truth.
Hope you can travel without to have to wait again :-)
C U back soon

Congrats, Eleen ! Good to hear you passed your exams. Great picture depicting the boredom of the girls. Well done !

Have a safe trip home

Marleen

Hi Eleen,
This is boring! Of course not your excellent picture, but what it expresses. Well done with the partly B&W.

As the Malay Mail spells out: classic beauties! TFS these beautiful women, Eleen. Lots of luck on the practical training. Take care. TFS.

Hi Eleen,
great shot showing the boreness of your friends. And you did well with the selective desaturation, this enhace the down mood a lot.
Congrats.
Marisa

Hi Eleen,
Very nice portraiture. The lighting and the diffuse look really lend a hand into giving that boredom/spacey feeling. Really like the selective coloring you did. To have your friend in b&w to suggest boredom and then to have the newspaper in color to show that the world still spins on, is really good and well soon.
Great!
Richard

A good combinatio of human feelings. One has a face of boredoom wich by the way your title is bang on. The second one is so much into her reading. The effect of desaturation is perfect here. Nice soft edge to the entire photo makes it appeared dream like. Thanks
