my superb cute and active nephew, Thomas. 11 months old, hardly see him sit still except having milk/biscuit. i have few nice shots only this trip, mostly ended up blurry as he always in movement. i see him few times a year only, luckily he still want me to hold and play with him

Cute portrait for sure...very handsome young man. I love the expression on his face, very good eye contact and capture of them. The catch lights are great. Nice shooting.

Hi Chin,

And this one ended up also blurry, although maybe less than the others you mentioned. Really 1/30 is to slow to even stop the camera shake, let alone moving children. The only way is to use a faster shutter speed by increasing the ISO, opening up the lens more, wait for more light or use a flash.

Hi Jong,

Have to say I love children's portraits and this one is indeed super-cute!
Wonderful colour, details and texture and that all important light reflecting in his eyes.
