Hello friends in TL,

What is the most exclusive perfume tree in the world?

This one is a major contender ...the World famous Cananga odorata is the true Chanel No.5 Perfume Tree

Locally known as Kenanga and is probably the most celebrated flowering perfume tree in the world

Made world famous by Coco Chanel who in 1923 said upon introducing Chanel No.5 perfume in Paris,

"I wanted a perfume that is composed - not hints of roses or lilies of the valley. A woman's perfume - redolent, evocative of a woman. A perfume unlike any other ever made. The ideal scent of a woman."

So ...is Cananga Odorata like Chanel No.5 ? ...or is Chanel No.5 perfume like the scent of this tree?

Except for the alcohol and added power of its oils, the perfume smell to your nose is nearly identical to the tree. These world famous blossoms are now used in many other expensive perfumes as well.

This is indeed an original creature of nature, aside from the perfume part!
A delicate flower with fine details, macro work well done with fine details...

This flower is amazing and has such an important job for all those who like perfume. I am terribly allergic and must stay away from processed perfumes. I am fine with aromatherapy.

What an interesting flower and an interesting note to go with it.
Even if there was no perfume in the air, the flowers with this colour and those lines, would make it an attractive tree.
