Interesting look-back to yesterdays and into the film photography; obviously your collections are impressive than my single OM2. I would think all the lenses shown here can be used for dSLR, especially I have used 1978 version of manual 50mm f/1.4 by entering the AiS data into the camera setting and it reads the aperture reading ok, although D80 is just blind to it.

I have not touched film since 1980s? So it would be incredible to try that again! Maybe I would try it, but my OM2 is rusty and full of fungi.

Some eyecatching equipment here Jusni. I think you could have used a smaller aperture, the uppermost camera is also slightly out of focus because of a shallow DOF.

WB also appears to be wrongly set for this?

Hi Jusni, Good to see and read into the history of your photography. This mirrors many other for sure. I like the collection of cameras and lensa as you have set this up. It is good to retain your links with the past. Photography is actually a fairly recent art/science only since the 1870 or so? TFS. Murray.

Hi Jusni,
It is always good to go back to your roots once in a while. I took my Minolta X700 with me to Mexico in December because as you say, I wanted to go back to non-digital time just to enjoy. Unfortunately, after almost five years of not using the camera I did not notice till I got to Mexico that the internals of my 28-80 mm lense was all lose and as a result, all photos that I took using X700 is no good. So either I have to get a new lense or stick to digital from now on.

I understand the artist within as I was against the digital craze for many years as I was also hooked on Velvia's truest of color captures. I have, and still believe that the film photographer is the true mastery of photography as they do not sit before a computer and use the tools of the COMPUTER to enable them to become seen within the ?"ART"? world of today. There is no challenge in taking an image with a digital if you know the basics of film, with film, you first learn to read and understand the temperature of light as it falls across the subject matter of one's choice. In digital, the choice is to either set your computer's meter to the little sun or the cloud, or to whatever light is found indoors. No need for those costly filters to control light's temperature any longer, and no need to spend and spend for film and processing any longer with the digital age. But it is those of us that have learned by trial and error, and have had to improve because of the cost of film and processing that seem to capture those scenes with that finer touch, and that sharper eye for compositional elements that many do not, nor will ever accept within their arsenal, and that is why Film Photographers will always be the truest of the masters.

A nostalgic shot indeed. Perfectly composed and focussed with fine details. i also use the dia scaner for coppying my old dia possitives.

I take it you are a Nikon man and I applaud you for dusting off the equipment and going back to film for a bit. You are also a bit hard on yourself, as you will never be just a computer operator.
There is a lot of talent behind that lens.

Yeh.. Good old days.!
In that time, you looked atleast 3 times before you shoot a picture, right ?
I have good memories too, on the mechnical period of our hobby.
Still having my Exacta rtl 1000, wilt lenses and macro bellow.
The penta prisma could have been removed and lenses mounted upside down.
Those where the days, haha.

Hi Jusni, nice equipment you have there, and it really shows you're proud of it.

Much as I like the old ones I'd rather stay with the digital ones. As for me, now I can afford a better camera that I used to in the past.

Very well said Jusni,
that's why, ever since I had my DSLR, I strictly limit my post processing to very minor increment in saturation and contrast only.
Although not all, but most so-called photographers these days are more like skilled computer users rather than a photographer.
Sometimes, extreme Post Processing murdered the art of photography!!
