| A water splashing shot. Photo was taken at a swimming pool of my club in Kuala Lumpur. I focused the shot at the splashing water when the feet of my son stepped into the puddle at the edge of the swimming pool. The idea struck me when i saw the repeated action of my son getting in and out of the pool, while having fun. It occurred to me that a close up shot of his feet on the water would be a interesting point of view. I tried on it and had in my mind of the source of light in the given circumstances. Finally this is what i have managed to capture. The recorded shutter speed was 1/640 with aperture f/2.8 wide open intentionally to give a nice bokeh for the horizontal line appeared at the back ground. I used spot metering to measure the light on the slpashing water. Lens used was a 80-200 mm Nikon telelens on my Fuji s5Pro body. A straight forward shot with no post processing edit. |
