Well, this is my first try to take this kind of water-droping (is it the correct term?) photos.

Really inspired by the water photos contributed by Agetan, Kiscool and Vanbeck.. i decided to try it myself.

I took a big green bowl, fill it up with water.. let the water drop and get the correct timing and shoot them! haha...

I took this photo using my Olympus C730, set to manual mode, fastest shutter speed (1/1000) and using smallest aperture (f/8). I did not use a tripod for this photo.

I then cropped the image a bit, apply frame and thats all.

Hope you guys can give me more comment about this photo. I ike this photo and hope you like it too. :)

Ha, ha, a lot of members trying to catch this action. Now it's your turn and I think Thong, that you succeeded very well here. A beautiful one-colour and a fine action !

Dang! You beat me to it. I was trying to catch the same thing but failed miserably. Well done Thong!

Yes it's a succes. No problem your drop is perfect. Congratulations.

Your first try is much better than my first one! You've got great drops.
I am very happy to incentive you to try this experiment. Actually, your comments made me feel the same ! I am practicing more and more.
I want to see more from you. Keep doing.
I made a workshop just increasing contrast and saturation. Hope you don't mind...
Keep doing !

Alex

I would like to be able to do that myself, but I don't think my camera would cooperate with my reflexes. Nice capture. Well done.

Wow! No tripod. This is exceptionally good if it was hand held. Imagine the results if you did use a tripod, or even something else to act as a tripod. Very well done.
The workshop has really enhanced the photo.

I saw a photo like yours once. It was a glass dish, with brightly coloured paper underneath it what was placed inside a clear plastic bag. Sounds like this would be a nice challenge for you to try.

It's an excellent "first try" ! Welcome to water-dropping fanatics club ! (is it the good term ? lol). Perhaps more contrasts (like workshop of vanbeck)... Still an excellent picture ! Added to "droplets" theme

That is GREAT! The timing is perfect and the green background makes it look better in my opinion! I tried once before but couldn't get it properly and my fingers weren't fast enough. Good job! Best photo you've got so far!

Great shot Thong. After seeing this I am going to have a go soon. I would be very happy to get a shot like yours. Well done

I have tried a few times and I never had something half as good as this one. The picture is good and after workshop adjusments a 5 *. Jesus

I never took one like this, Thong, but I think it is very good; I also like the "freezed" water drops and the undulation, as I like the very nice colour. Well done!
