[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hi all,
I am trying to do the nightshot with my Olympus C730. And this is my first try. I set the aperture to F/8 and shutter speed to 1/1.25.

I am experimenting taking night photo, at this main road near my house. I am having trouble because of the noise that occured when i set my exposure time to more than 4 seconds. Anyway, this is one of the "ok" photo that i took that night.

I hope you guys can give me more idea in terms of tricks, compositions and idea how to take this kind of night photo of roads, lights, posts, etc... i have no idea..

the image was cropped and added frame.

thanks.

Not bad ! A little bit orange and personaly, i would cropped a little in the top of picture. Still a nice pic ! (added to 'night traffic' theme)

Hi AhThong, nice pic!
actually technically the pic is great, just tat perhaps u may wana try removing some "distracting" subjects like the green streak. Also, I may wana crop off the empty area above the highest lamplight. I do luv the pattern of lights though! Nice try!

THis is a very cool photo! I agree with Frederic regarding the cropping though. But other wise, this is very good. I like the composition and the 'star-like' light from the lamp posts. Regards!

Hey, this ain't bad at all, and the photo looks like you are using a cross-star filter. Good job Thong. But please crop the dark area above the lamp post

This is a very good 1st night shot. The green neon light adds a nice splash of colour. What I like the best is the star effect you achieved on the street lamps. Very nice work.

Good first try... how come my night shots don't have that-many-pointed-stars compared to you? Try playing around with the white balance and wait for a car to pass by. The effect will be good!
