I like his expression and think you did a fine job with shooting the photo. I am not a fan of these combination b & w / color images, but that is my taste.

I think you have done a wonderful job in capturing your father's expression. The colours, composition and framing are good, but I do not like the blur in this situation.
Your words about your father are a tribute, and I find it very touching.

nice title and nice note...what is lacking i agree is a self portrait to match....hahha...well done...you captured this portrait very well in depth and expression.
