Despite all that your feeling and all that I read in the note, you shouldn't be so gloomy, after all the, the begining of the year is just a date in time that we acknowledge as so, but it's in fact just another day ;-) Life is just cruel when we think about all the loved ones gone or lost somehow, it's like a deep scar we all carry, one that shows that we are alive, despite all things. So, brace yourself and kick out the blues, don't be too sad, tomorrow will be another day ;-)

With your note it gives a special feeling,also after a few days I'm comming to TL,...your shot is very moody,and I like it,I don't know why,but I belive sometimes I can't say my feeliung with some words,just it's special for me,and glad you post it,Eleen,thanks.

The dark lanterns are a good subject for the mood you created here. You handled the low light situation very well. Sorry to hear you are sad with seeing the older people by themselves. Perhaps they are really happy inside, and you just see it in a different way. Anyway, Happy New Year from your friend in Canada.
Question: The giving of red packets; is that a custom. What would be inside the packet. I would like to learn. Do you also celebrate the full moon day.

This picture though it's gloomy still a nice capture.
