[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hi, No food photos for the time being, hehe.. but this photo is about a good place to eat good foods!

Location : Prangin Mall, Georgetown, Penang

Foods : Lots of fast foods outlets, Japanese Foods, Korean Foods, Chinese Restaurants, Indian Foods, Food Court with lots of macam-macam food, Hawkers Stalls, Local trademark foods, Lots of shops selling pirated DVDs (haha), etc..etc...

I took this photo from Level 5, zooming down and set my camera to aperture priority mode, at f/8.0. I like the 'zig-zag' shape/patterns..and tried my best to get a good composition.
Enhanced the photo in Adobe Photoshop, just some minor adjustment on curve and contrasts. Added some canvas and some texts/captions down there..

What you guys think about the canvas/borders and the texts down there? Is it too distracting? Will this photo be nicer if i keep it more simple and without those 'fancy' texts?

Comments, Critiques and workshops are welcomed.

It is really strong composition with its zigzag lines...

Zigzag, very well composed interesting photo. I like the color of the frame, but I dont like the text, I think the picture can stand for itself, maybe it's because I hate malls.

Good shot.

Una foto muy particular por dos cosas:
1.- La composición
2.- La aglomeración de restaurantes en un mismo lugar.
Me gustan la composición y el marco.
Felicitaciones.

A very particular photo by two things: 1. - Composition 2. - The agglomeration of restaurants in a same place. I like the composition and the frame. Congratulations.

I think the text is just nice. I like the zig zag on the 3 different level. Lots of thing happening on those different level. Very nice composition. THanks for sharing.

Very well seen, incredible shot !
Good use of geometric shapes.
Well done.
Sylvie
PS : the texts are well integrated in the photo, no problem IMO.

That is cool, I like how the lowest level is lit in white, the middle level in yellow and the highest level has no light source. You have a good eye in spotting opportunities, turning nothing into something.

I find it a wonderful picture, zigzaging away, showing a lot of action and scenes, colours and graphical elements.
The frame is nice as it is.

all's been said...the compo's great, colors' great ...also the contrast in terms of intensity and human activity level....the only setback IMO, is the frame...makes the photo look like a chinese new year card:)

You really have this eye for detail and composition.

I really like the composition -- the zig-zag is great, and an element we don't see too often.

Usually, I can't stand borders and text, but this border doesn't bother me, perhaps because it's the same red as the red in the picture. As for the text, it's unobtrusive, so I don't mind it.
