Poverty...hmmm...
Around the world, inequality is increasing, while the world is further globalizing. Even the wealthiest nation has the largest gap between rich and poor compared to other developed nations.

"...makes us wonder sometimes as we develop further, are there more who benefit or more that are left out? another effect of negligience in the city.."
-[miss chan]

This is another photo that i took during my walk around Komtar area in Georgetown, Penang few weeks ago. You can check out my previous kinda similar photo here.
I did some minor cropping and enhance it a bit using Adobe Photoshop. I applied a light Radial Blur Filter on the background.. and Sharpen the image. Added frame.

Very effective picture. The expression of the woman's face and pose definitely send a strong message. The radial blur effect works well. It brings full attention to the woman and is also a nice impression of the hectic city life around her.

It is painful to see there are someone like this still on the street. Sometime I wish we can help them. Good capture, Thong, the expression on the face is so helpless, hopeless and tire. make me drop a few tears! the filter is fanstatic at this photo, it make your main object stand out. Well done. tfs

nice image. I like that radial blur gives the image a defferent look. did the man new you are photographing him??? good face impretion on the man's face.

hi, Thong...nice note. i see you are becoming more sensitive now:) i like the expression captured but the left dark object is a little distracting, even with the radial blur.i made a ws just to lighten the background a little, hope you like it.

The colors , the composition , the pose of the person and the expression on his face looking into the lens what gives the picture the sense of it...a very good impression of Poverty !!!
Great shot !! ( pts tmrw)

What a good shot. The radial blur really worked well to direct our eyes to the homeless woman. I like the shadows it really brings out the character in her face. Good job!
