This is one side of a courtyard open to the sky inside a Tin Baron's mansion built around 100 years ago. After 5 generations, no members survive apparently and this has now become a museum.

Hi Murray,
I like those kinds of buildings. For conservation accient architectual houses, we need to do thing like that way. Nice photo Murray,

Elegant indeed, Murray (and fancy running into you on TL ;-))!
This reminds me of a shipping baron's home in Damascus: that one was donated to the church and has become a Christian school. The nuns manage to keep the rooms in pristine condition (though without the elegant furniture).
I love the angled composition and the depth of colour. I can see that the stark white is a bit more difficult to capture though: it tends to blow out a little as I can attest as well.

Hi Murray. Excellent capture of some delicate architecture. Well composed, superb detail and lovely colour. Harsh white is always difficult but you have handled it well. A workshop if I may and TFS,
David

Elegant is the perfect word for this picture! The fan looks a little out of place which sort of adds a now a days feel to it. Beautiful details and great colors. TFS
