hi all,
this is a photo taken during an event recently, a gig at Komtar Auditorium, Penang. i told dozens of photos, yet it was too difficult to control lighting and shaky hands....(exposure, aperture....etc etc....i still have no knowledge of how it works).

this is one of the last photos, the original photo has more than 10 ppl inside, all stading around her....it was so hilarious looking at way the guys flock at this gorgeous girl....she wasn't even a performer....just someone helping around....i did not even have chance to ask her name:)

so as usual, holding the camera means you won't be included in any photo....i snapped a couple of photos for her with the guys (requested)....and when i viewed it, i liked this one the most, her sweet smile can melt any heart i think:) i did a naughty thing, i selected her image, pasted to another layer, then i adjusted the curves of the first layer 'til everyone else is out of sight:) it looks blank in my monitor, i hope it looks good to u too.

comments critiques and ws appreciated. i hope you enjoy her smile too.

have a good day.

What a beautiful girl you've captured here, Eleen... Beautiful compo too, though I think there's still too much to be seen of the background. Having selected the woman, why not apply a Gaussian blur on the BG, with a bit of desaturation as well ? Anyway, I like what I see ;o). TFS.

wow... its amazing how you turn a normal photo into a piece of great photo.. i really like the idea here... really creative and you did a very very good job on this... i still can see the boy at the left hand side..smilling.. not dark enough.. nice framing and well presented too.. thanks for sharing

bonjour eleen.
Il est très joli ce portrait avec le cadrage ainsi réalisé. Belle gestion des teintes sombres et claires. Le contraste est bon.
C'est réussi.

Yes, I like it...!!! I have to agree with you that not very often one sees an original sincere smile as hers. A 10+... I only think you have too much black on the left of the picture and not exactly sure what were you trying to accomplish with it. Still she is a lovely girl worthy of snapping a few photos. Thanks

DAM

It's always great to carry a camera with us isn't it???
Excellent capture! I love all that black background, it definitely makes her smile more special ;-)
Well done.

Hi Eleen,
Nice shot. Aside from some of the background showing up (and even then, it's not too bad--just half of a guy's head to the left and some wall to the right), it's really good. The composition is great since you have her off centered. And the soft glow on her skin is dreamy. She does have a nice smile.
Well done.
Richard

Hi Eleen, I admire the work you did on this one and how you presented it. That takes courage, and it works. And you are right about that killer smile of course - could melt an iceberg.

Wah, leng lui.
Can I get to know her-ah.

Simple but very effective composition to me!
Well done. This lovely day was surely very distracting (^_^).
TFS,
Robert
