[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
hi everyone,

i seldom do portraits that's close up, but this one's definately one of my favourite. taken during my job excursion to the site, where it was quite steep and dangerous, my collegue was breathless and desperately struggling to move on.

the insects, sharp rocks, trees and most of all, the fear for the unknown, we have no idea whether there are snakes or what creatures live there. lucky for both of us, we came out safe, with only a few mosquito bites to complain about:)

this one i took very quickly, he was clinging on to this huge rock, thinking which step to take next. i was a few meters ahead, on another rock.

pp work,
desaturated a little (my favourite), smoothen his skin tone with 20 % diffuse glow, added border.

hope u like his expression as much as i do. have a nice day!

A very beautiful photograph and one that shows great sensitivity. I hope to learn from photographers like you. Your decision to slightly desaturate the image almost to B/W was, in my opinion, a good one. The result is excellent. The expression on the subject's face is priceless. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Eleen!

interesting way of pp..to desaturate..maybe i will trei it also..at leats, here it works,to make it more dramatic..i love hes expression, and the postition of hes hand..looks like hes really concentrating for what hes doing..Well done!

Hi Eleen,
Good grief! If he looked like that how did you look? ;P Ahh...always good to be the one with the camera, eh?
Excellent capture...very expressive. We can even see the sweat in his hair. And his frozen expression in the white glow of uncertainty.
Well done!
Richard

Why didn´t i see your pictures often before...for sure this isn´t happen anymore :) This is a great shot...and i really love how you did this desaturation...it feets so well!
Appart from that his expression is really taken on the spot, on the really right moment!
How could you even shoot in such a second...wow! :))

The expression is very good, not knowing what's coming, a bit scared and also something like Don't look back, go on and see what happens....
PP-work is really nice done, Eleen, good shot and the close-up is also very good !

bonsoir eleen.
C'est un beau portrait avec beaucoup de sentiments et d'inquiétudes, on voit une goutte de sueur lui coulait le long du nez. Très beau contraste.

oh great! i almost missed this one! what's not so nice about being the last to comment is that you can't repeat what has been previously said. so, even if a photo is one that i feel like praising, i hesitate to register my comment if what i feel like saying had already been mentioned by the others who viewed the photo much earlier than i am. and this one is no exception! i concur... Ron

Nice work Eleen. The slight desaturation looks like he has turned white with fear. You have a dangerous job, be careful. Great portrait.

haha..very funny photo in deed... you captured the moment and expression perfectly.. and the photoshop works very well too... and i noticed there is a tear drop on his face.. is that a real one? so dramatic.. but i cant stop laughing..becoz i know this girl very well..hahahahaha..well done there, eleen!

Very good capture, Eleen. The expression on his face tells everything. Nice work of de-saturating the colours. Excellent!

Wow! What a great capture!! We can even see him sweating!! And he looks so pale, like he's about to faint! Scary!
Great work!

Ana

I'll drop by tomorrow to give you a big smiley.

Wonderful, good work, you have managed to capture the moment perfectly, the concentration, and focus is depicted very well, the PP works well and gives some added drama to the situation.
Well done, good work!
