hello everyone,

this is a close up shot of bamboo blinds, a normal shading device for tropical houses. In humid countries like Malaysia, ventilation and air flow are very important and most well designed dwellings emphasize on open spaces, where good air flow are enhanced.

i captured this on a site visit to a beautifully designed bungalow in Penang, one of the rare ones that uses timber generously (most Malaysians seemed to be obsessed with massive concrete and steel - which is climatically unfriendly and tend to have a need for air conditioning which is economically and environmentally unfriendly).

i was lingering around admiring the house when these flapping blinds at the open air breakfast area caught my eyes....the dark blue cloth (the base) with the textures of the bamboo blend so well....and i like the graphical feel of it.

hope u guys like it as much as i do.

thanks for all the comments and critiques despite my abscence here.

have a nice day!

hey Eleen,
nice texture with a wonderful composition to display the bamboo blinds. The lighting is revealing and the different tones are quite interesting. The great catch though is the one blind that is off axis and becomes it's own to the rest. Great catch and I really enjoyed your note.

Hi Eleen,
Nice shot. I like your composition and how it's all diagonal. And that one that's about to fall out is a nice surprise that interrupts the regularity of the shot. But most of all, I like the colors...they're so rustic and just neat to look at.
Well seen!
Richard

style dah ada, gaya dah ada, color dah ada..semua bagus.. cuma hati-hati sikit... kurang sharp dan banyak aspek lagi boleh diperbaiki... overall, semua dah ok.. cuma baiki dan tambah lagi.

thanks for sharing

hello eleen.
A texture carried out well always gives very beautiful results. The alignment of the bamboos, the black of the shade with the black of the bamboo, yes really it is quite carried out friendship

Hello Eleen... The mood of strong details is impressive... I do like the tones in it... Diagonal composition work well here...
