Parallel Lines...

A bird.. and some colorfull bulbs... hanging on 2 different lines... I wonder what was the bird thinking that day... and also do those bulbs know the birds..

hmmm....

Btw, I started to use GIMP ( a free image processing freeware! -- thanks to Shutter2Think ).. and i think it is a great program..and the most important thing.. it is free!

I am still learning how to use it... and for this photo.. using GIMP.. i duplicated the layer and apply 'softlight' on its layer properties... then add the Filter - Fx Flare on the top layer.. thats all...

Just a simple photo ... but i like it very much.. its Friday afternoon here... i feel happy!!

Have a nice weekend.

I like this. Very simple as you said and still very beautiful. WEll done Thong.

Great shot! I like the simplicity of the two lines and the silhouetted bird. I think it would also look fine without the flare. Nice to see you around again. I'm glad it's Friday too.

Hi Thong,
Nice shot. Good composition....like the uncentered lines and where you put the bird. The lit up lights look so cool and spiced up your gray picture. I'm not sure about the flare, though...I guess I can go both ways on this. Also, there's something wrong with the flare, may be a program error but one of your bottom spheres isn't round--cut in half and attached incorrectly...weird. Anyhow, good work.
Glad to see someone is actually using the info in my intro about GIMP. For a beginner you're doing very well...you even have a frame! :D
Have a great weekend!
Richard

I see something in your shot that touches a string within me. A though, a word I recently spoke to someone dear to me, about parallel lives. I wish I was wrong...

The symbolicism in your shot is ...well, too deep inside me to express it.

Thank you Thong.

Yes! Very good pp work of you + Good compo!
What make a photo last long? .... Mood that create sense of touch... Do you agree?? All the best!

Wong

No reason for the fake lense flare.. It also is kinda screwed up looking under the bird...

I have to agree about the lens flare..somehow it just didn't work out here, good try...but u could do better:)
