[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
my days of glory are over,
the peeling walls,
the half torn iron grille...

now i have to shy away,
slowly but surely,
i'll be forgotten...

i can't understand anymore
the meaning of beauty,
are the humming machines added
a new trend?
an aesthetic i can't seem to understand?

please can somebody tell me,
what's wrong with the past?
did i not served my master well?
why then am i forgotten?

now i am a stranger in my own territory,
an alien to my past,
a memory of the present,
i can't imagine my future....
the future where machine rules....

-i hope i am making sense:) i was looking thru my old photos and i felt a strong urge to pass on what i feel.....

critiques, comments, and ws welcomed.

have a nice day!!!

Hey Eleen,
How's everything?
Your note sounded as if I was almost reading my own words....pretty close to freeform expression without structure.
Making sense, that does not matter here, it's the whole expression that creates this presentation of mood.
Sometimes we, ok maybe myself will write as it flows and I go to read it back and the persona/ego is like what the #$%@ is this....so no worries for all your stirring the moment makes itself whole.
Great imagery with fantastic punch to the photo :O)
take care Eleen,

~michael~

ps-Lisar is correct in the statement about you having a lovely Soul!!!

very nice composition eleen
we see a lot of these new + old images around here, we are losing the old part fast and the new ones don't seem to last as long...

(green smile tomorrow...)

This image holds something I can not put my finger upon... it speaks so, it is alive. The blue and the shades of green with shadow make something magical.

I don't get the sadness actually I kind of get a glory of being, but then again I suppose I am too positive at the best of times.

Great to see such a post from you my friend... :)

Good to give it some thought, Eileen, that will help you in your job too. Ugliness can turn into beauty when captured the right way ;-) If you flip the picture 180° a kind of smiley appears :-)
TFS, keep up the good work.

I find a strong contrast between the title and the note.... they seem related to two different images.. and about the picture I have two different feeling, one (the hope) the sky reflected seems to say there are always a hope of better times, as in the last scene of Blade Runner, when arrives the sun...
But the other feeling the sky seems prisoner inside the walls as a unuseful dream....
How many words for a photo.....

you have a nice way of presenting your work

Hi eleen

I like the symmetry of the 2 air con units, that do look like 2 speakers conversing. Good work & tfs!
