Alien or ?

While going towards the edge of the lake, we noticed in return upright this strange creature and motionless in the corner of the wood staircase. It has a size from 3 to approximately 4 centimetre. What has surprised was the color blue and chestnut of the wings. But afterwards, on the photograph, the yellow color of the eyes astounded us and glad to have captured in photograph of such insect.

Picture cropped, saturated +25 and white frame.
