Just a simple photo of the power lines or electric pole (is this the correct name for this thing??)...

Actually i always wanted to take this kind of photo.. and i always think it will be very good if i got this structure and a sunset or sunrise as a background... hmmm.. anyway..i failed... and this is my first try.. hope to improve in the future..

Photo taken near the Butterworth-Kulim-Expressway (BKE).. during evening.. on my way home after working. Well, i hope the composition and the overall output of the photo will express my feelings at that time.. very very lonely after a long day work.. and once again, i still thinking to change to another job...

Because of the dull overall colors, i converted the photo into Black and White using photoshop.

Nice composition. I also amazed by giant structures build by men. This pole stands firm and strong 24/7 and i think you capture it well.

Very nice composition. It looks like a big robot. :) Nice lighting too. JP

Hi Thong,
Very nice image of the pylons. They are silhouetted very well. Composition looks good, except, you have an element coming out of the left the corner...avoid corners, if possible...don't ask, it's just how I was taught. ;P The cloudy skies are dramatic and help to create quite a mood as background to these mand made towers.
Well done!
Richard

Great industrial landscape shot. Composition is excellent and your point of view is marvellous. Great sky in the shot really enhances the image. TFS

This sky is very beautiful, especially with the contrast of the power towers. I live near some very tall towers too but haven't gotten such a sky to take a photo of them. I'll have to keep looking as your photo turned out very well. I love all the bright coloring and the blue sky peeking through in the background.

Another great photo ;-)
The sky is amazing but the composition is a winner with all the lines crossing the photo. The contrast is just right too. The only thing that might be a little distracting are the other lines coming from the left... But that's a minor detail and a question of personal taste too!
Very well done!!
Ana

Your photo is instructive - I like the composition and lighting. Well done.
By the way, "jagan hati sakit". (Please forgive if I got it wrong. Am trying to learn Bahasa during my current posting in ASEAN.)

Funny title... for a powerful composition...
Nice sillhouttes and sky... very well done!
greetings,
carmem

incredible composition! it's the lines that are pointing upward that make the power structure looks so great. i like that the the structure and the landscape are turned into black figures. and there are a few small structures positioned at the lower part which remsemble the subject. nice capture! TFS

hmm.. i thought you said this is a black and white photo? i think i can see blue here...

PS:it's been a while since i last came here.. was so busy in school work. will have to continue working on my project after today.

my favorite item from malaysia, always on the lookout when we drive in. So far have not manage to get any good shot of them. This one is good, shows the magnificent structure and size.
