[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
PRELUDE :- In life, sometimes simple pleasure brings us more sweetness and happiness than wealth, money or success. A day out with loved ones, although very daily life, is one such event in life.

In Asia, tradition has it strong that family unit is a very big thing and bond is a virtue cherished. We live for each other. Family cell unit is what we hold close.

In this photo, it shows a little insight of that trait, I hope.

On weekends, families flock to the clean river here for a swim, dip and picnic with BBQ. This river is part of the Love Our Rivers campaign project and a park is nicely done to provide some leisure activities.

Families bring along children to play in the water. Up in the source of the stream, some mineral water bottling plant is turning out bottled mineral water for commercial purpose. The catch;ment area is one of the highest mountains in Kuching, rising up to 920m ASL.

The water quality is very good here. At this spot, however, the water is dyed red by roots and vegetation. But the water is refreshingly clean and cool.

I took several photos here but I like this one the best because of the curved path, river bend and watchers looking at the children having a play time in the water.

I hope you like this view.

I wish our community has better awareness about rivers. I believe, your shot here is symbolising how 'healthy' river provides the 'healthy' living and leisure... Let us remind ourself and teach our younger generations a better awareness, a better care for what we can benefit from healthy river. Thank you for sharing,

Well this looks like a beautiful place to spend a day or an afternoon. I really liked your notes on this, speaking so highly of family and it's value. In todays fast paced world, it's sooo good to hear that some still cherish this.
