Hi, another nocturnal photo from me. This time is lots of boats. Small boats and big boats. Taken at Gelugor seashore..near my house...around 8pm..

Set my camera to Manual mode.. and i purposely choosed a very very long exposure time.. its 30 seconds. Thats why the small boats at the bottom half looks blur.. because the water and the boats are moving... i like the effect actually.. While the big boats.. i like those 'sticks' or 'poles' ...

I like the warm tones on the black background...Shapes are impressive with these tones...Excellent work...

Hi Thong. You're becoming the king of night (shots) héhé.
You got here still a very powerfull use of the poor light you had.
This is a golden-black collection you've made. I aprreciate it a lot.
TFS
See you around.
Denis.

very surreal feeling, especially the water, you've manage to freeze it and i can really feel the ambience of your photo. very good technique shown, perfect nightshot, in my opinion, in terms of lighting manipulation, composition and subject chosen. well done, Thong!

Beautiful work on the background boats Thong, but I think the effect on the water is not so good - to me it looks like some plastic sheet or something. The boats in the foreground are only a little blurry, and I like the motion blur effect on them. Nice work. TFS

I really like your style. You get great photos from that D70. I am planning on getting one soon. great composition and lighting on this! Love the deep black background. Nice mood to this! I will add points tomorrow. JP

**** ADding points now...

I think the long exposure worked really well here!! The light on the yachts is fantastic, almost like there was one big spotlight on them!! The water surface looks like a mirror almost, giving the composition a very interesting effect. Very well done.

nice shot Thong
I think this shot worked very well .. there is a bit of an over exposure from the street lights i suppose on the right side of the photo ... but it is pretty much minimal ... one has to expect this kind of thing in shots like these
I like to take nocturnal shots too ... but i usually put them on TE
neways it was nice to see your work ...
cheers
sarju

the big boats look like a VERY big boat broken into small pieces :) i like the effect

This is really good, Thong...You are creating in own nice style in night photography and I like it very much....:O)
