Hi Folks,

my maiden shot using my new 'pet' gear, a Pentax K20D.

thanks so much to friends who always encourage me to improve my techniques & skills and to upgrade my gear.

...and as a gesture of appreciation for your support, i am presenting here for you a maroon dragonfly, her eggs(?) and a bokeh.

Thanks for viewing.

Hi Agoes

A fantastic macro shot of the dragonfly, with impeccable sharpness & dof. Good colour & lighting contrasts. Tfs!

Salam Agoes,
What a superb close up.Great POV, colours and details.TFS.Regards.

Congratulations on new K20D, Agoes and it perhaps is good in a sense that you can share the functional settings with Ramdan during shootout. What is your package price for it? Did you get the lens of 200mm too? This gadget will probably change your style and quality.

Great macro shot and sharp but it is a pity that the composition is just a little central and lower part blur, perhaps crop out lower end and rotate CCW (you won't notice any skew). A bit dark on exposure.

tfs, bill

Hello Agoes,
Nice shot of dragonfly & eggs .... whatever eggs they are. As far as I know dragonflies lay their eggs (mostly) in water. That is perhaps the tip of the aloe vera blade ... near water source? For me the eggs being pink, nicely exposed & focused get all the primary attention. That does not mean it is not a good thing. Like many of your insect photos you managed to include other elements that make your photos special & interesting. This is no different. Well done and congratulations on your new camera setup. Salam. Latiff.

PS: Nice blurred background ... but bokeh? I'll have to double check the definition :).

Salam Bro,
Taknih bro kerna posting picture yang ke 100th dan juga mendapat mainan baru..hehe..
Memang sudah terlulis di buku ku bro, memang hebat lagi macro foto bro kalau pakai DSLR..Salute bro,..fantastic find and capture..
Two thumbs up bro!

Salam,
Anan

Assalamualaikum Agoes. Congratulations on your 100th post. Exceptional achievement here on TL. Bigger congratulations on the new gear. Awesome precision equipment benefiting the Samsung electronics and Pentax legendary optics and camera. I owned K1000 before and had a lot of fun with it. Sorry that I did not see your excellent ws - definitely much better than the post. I like this debut post from the pet gear. Nicely perched at the tip of the plant with pink eggs. Thanks for sharing and all the best for future shots. Jusni

Fantastically sharp detail!

Hi Agoes,
The picture is maybe a bit dark and hiddens a bit the details on the Dragon fly, but your proposal on this Bukeh is really good... Great detail on that pinkish eggs...
And good luck with your new "toy"... I've heard it is a really good camera...
TFS, Marta

Hello Agoes!

Assalamualaikum.
Congratulations, and a warm welcome to the world of dSLR.

You presented a great post, purely from the captured photo - purposely done with no touch up, I believe.

Thanks for sharing the nice composition, looking forward for more shots from the K20D - probably the first in KK.

Regards,
Ndan.
