Day after covering the Via Ferrata, I climbed up to the Low's Peak of Mount Kinabalu. And the night before, I had been browsing through an Alpine magazines for an inspiration of shots and came up with an idea.

Upon reaching the plateau near the peak I saw a lady that looked like doing some meditation facing the beautiful glowing sunset - a scene that I drew in my imagination and was looking for. I approached her politely. She smiled but didn't say any word. I guessed she didn't wanted to be disturbed. So I show my camera trying to ask a permission to shoot her. Luckily she made a gesture with a smile, giving an opportunity for me to have this shot - taken at 4,050m ASL.

The cloud formation and the rock surface are giving an impression that this shot was a bit tilted. It was actually not.

Regards,
Ramdan

This is a very interesting silhouette Ramdan! Really interesting bold contrasts, I'm not sure if I'm seeing ICE reflections or water reflections under her, but if it's water, I would have preferred the pic level...it's just an obvious problem! Love the sun behind here, a little OE to be expected!

Hi Ramdan,

It's the sky that does it for me. The silhouette is the 'accessory' of this photo in my opinion and its very good. Especially the silhouette of the lady shielding the sun behind her. As for any tilting, I think the cloud formation plays more role of creating the illusion of tilting in this photo rather than the rock formation.

TFS.

Alvin

Impressive silhouette,Well placed subject by overlapping the sun that create emphasizing and attractive effect,Well composition and sharpness overall.Good work,TFS.

hi Ramdan

Very interesting to be on top of the world and you are showing no fear at this height, able to shoot and enjoy the scene. Good work

Assalamualaikum Ndan,

to me...any shot taken at high altitude, except from inside an airplane, really worths a commend & compliment for the hardship of reaching there and the skill of capturing the subject in such condition.

Agoes

Tobpinai,

The cirus clouds with the sunrise makes this high altitude picture become more interisting. Blocking the sunrise with the lady was the main purpose of this picture. Great shot.

Best Regards
Steve

HI Ramdan
Perhaps it gives the illusion of being tilted but if one really looks you can see the lady is straight and so are the top of the mountains. If you level it your lady will be slanted.
I personnaly feel that this look adds to the shot, making us realize the harship of mountain climbing and seeing its rewards. The ice is definitely a plus to this shot, and you definitely know its ice by the clothing the lady is wearing.
Super shot

Salam Bro,
wahhh..best lah bro!..shot ko ni memang aku tak punya bro..Aku anggkat tangan ni bro..shot dengan ketinggian 4'050m ASL menjadikan matahari tu lebih bawah lagi..kalau ini terjadi aku kira akan menghasilkan pancaran cahaya yang menakjubkan..
Tapi foto ni dah cukup bagus ni bro, yang aku perhatikan di foto ni bukan quality tapi teknik dan bentuk terjadinya foto ni..aku tau bro sengaja menjadikan foto ni sedikit tilted, tapi atu kira masuk dalam teknik processnya.
Aku suka ni bro, idea yang bagus..Well done.

Terima kasih komentar foto "SKY AND CLOUDS".

Stunning looking picture, Ramdan.
I thought it was rock. Also it looks like the famous statues on 'PaasIsland'.
Thanks for the note. Nice story too.
Have a nice day.
