Masilau Nature Resort

Imagine being surrounded by 600 million years old of rainforest and pampered by attentive staff and luxurious accommodation. The feeling can be described as just 'awesome'. Mesilau is a brand new nature destination at its best.

Located in the Kinabalu area, Mesilau stands in between the Kinabalu Park and the Poring Hot Springs. Its elevation is at approximately 2,000 metres above sea level. One will feel a strong sense of nature as Mesilau is on the Pinousuk Plateau which is richly endowed with flora and fauna. The cool climatic condition in the highlands combines with the mist and evergreen environment creates an exotic and mysterious atmosphere.

This small waterfall was just 20 feet from the entrence gate to Masilau Resort.

Thanks for viewing

Regards
Steve

Hi Steve,
Stunning landscape, wonderful waterfall. Its colours are nice, good capture. There is only one thing I would change: that is brightness, I think it could be a bit brighter. I made it for you in my Workshop, I hope you will like that version of your image. Thanks for the interesting note, really useful!
Best regards,
Kristof

hi Steve

We had a chance to stay a night at Mesilau Resort before going up the trail in March2008 and found it to be very cooling and such a great place. Almost wanted to stay there again on return journey but it was far to drive there, so we put up at Kundasang.

At the resort restaurant, just looking outside the glass windows, there was a small waterfall too and I could see birds moving around while we were having breakfast.

And yes, I did recall a waterfall at the entrance gate and there was a bridge too?

We made 2 trips to summit via Mesilau trail.

Nice waterfall capture with smooth flow of water.

tfs, bill
