On a drowsy lazy afternoon by the sea and...Child Services would have a fit over this.

The sea around Maiga island was lazy that late afternoon. It couldn't even bat its eyelids to flutter little waves to shore. Probably the languid drowsing wind has had lulled it enough to sleep off the afternoon after being glared at by the sun since mid morning.

A group of Sea Bajau children was mucking around the water just off the beach. With them was an adult. And just like the adult, his charges were just as dark tanned brown as he is and in the afternoon light, their bodies were glistening in the sun.

They were getting tired of playing catch among themselves. And with no elevated platform or a jumping board, the elder decided to do some workouts. His workout would also benefit the children he was babysitting.

While the rest of the excited and over eager children waited in line behind him, he lifted one up and throw him as high and as far as he could.

Assalamualaikum,

i think you were wrong...it wasn't M Jackson. Only Jet Li or Jackie Chan can do that acrobatic kung fu....:)

everything is here....the people, the dwellings, the islands. it's a very Sea Bajau settings indeed.

Hi Rabani,

How did you get your timing so perfect almost every time? I've got a lot more to learn from you and other TL members here. This shot is has a very balanced element to it. Water, sky, traditional architecture and the life of the people around it. The best thing about this photo for me is how the sun reflection just glistens off the adults back.

Regards,
Alvin

Assalamualaikum bang,

Knowing the speed limitation of the DRebel continuous shot, I believe that this shot was taken with a very good sense of timing.

The excellent shot has become even greater with a very good editorial touch on the words complementing it. It is all about inspirational photojournalism.

Salam,
Ramdan.
