Hi Folks,

Briefly from the Net about orangutans’ arms and legs:

Orangutans have less restriction in the movements of their legs unlike humans and other primates, due to the lack of a hip joint ligament which keeps the femur held into the pelvis.

Unlike gorillas and chimpanzees, orangutans are not true knuckle-walkers, and walk on the ground by shuffling on their palms with their fingers curved inwards.

The arms of an orangutan are twice as long as their legs. Much of the arm's length has to do with the length of the radius and the ulna rather than the humerus.

Their fingers and toes are curved, allowing them to better grip onto branches.

If I have the orangutan’s pair of legs I would grip onto branches so that I could have a better perspective from a high angle POV for this shot.

Or, with good functional fingers on the legs I could use them to press the button for a better capture of this from a much lower angle without having to lie low on the ground.

The more idealistic is, with the orangutans’ arms and legs functionality I can grip onto the edge of the rooftop and can do away with safety harness and an extender like this and still can get better shots.

:)

Thanking you in advance for viewing and your kind words.

Have a great weekend!
Agoes

Hi Agoes,
excellent contribution to the theme as always,
if i have the orangutan’s pair of legs or good functional fingers on the legs, i would do two things in once so that i could prepare nice shots and post to TL while working during these busy days;)
welldone my dear friend and tfs,
regards,
Taner

the funny part on this set-up is the legs can be his arms
and the same time the arms can be the legs. colors and details are great. well done. TFS.

How are you?
Again a funny and very good photo of an orangutan, it well fits to the 'leg' theme :).
The contrast is great between the subject and the green background colour, sharp and clear image of a perfectly captured moment. Good job, my friend!
