Hi Folks,

When I arrived at the scene that early evening, these water buffaloes were enjoying their mud ‘spa and jacuzzi’ in the mud pond. Never I knew that that I overstepped their territory and was intruding into their ‘privacy’. Then one by one they stood up, lining up like a barricade, either to protect and defend their precious mud pond or to attack me.

I found these beasts in Papar, about 40km south to Kota Kinabalu, were uncompromising, unlike their peers in Kiulu, about the same distance to the north, who were not bothered by my presence. These ones in Papar seemed to be tough to handle with. They are wild and by their stare they are telling me to leave them alone or I will risk a stampede for startling them.

While taking shots, I was prepared and ready for any eventuality. I was so stubborn, until my partner, Suhaili (tzhu03), who had earlier deserted me, yelled at me to get out of the scene.

Thanking you in advance for viewing and your kind words.

Agoes

Hi Agoes,
You are one brave man to get so close to these animals. The lengths you go to to get a great picture are amazing. I like the detail in the buffaloes and the POV from which the shot was taken. Nice work Agoes.
Regards,
Kevin

What an awesome shot Agoes!
I love how these Buffalo are lined up across the whole frame.
Excellent "thirds" application throughout the shot.
Very unique post.

Hi Agoes,
The deep green colour gives fantastic freshness to the photo, while it works great as background in contrast to the grey subject. Excellent presentation of the buffaloes. Thanks for the informative note, good job!
Greetings,
Kristof

Well done Agoes, are they waiting for a parade? Well seen and done my friend, good one!

Hello my friend

An excellent capture here, well balanced with good natural colours and plenty of eye contact.. I am almost tempted to do a workshop with a speech bubble giving words for the one on the right lol.

TFS kind regards Helen

It looks like some of them are yelling at you Agoes!! Great shot again - love the lush green of the background contrasting with the water buffalo. Great job.

Hulalala...

I am also thinking of doing a ws for this, not because of a flaw that needs an amendment but to add speech bubbles, just as Helen said. Hehehe... Their stare, poses and reaction give me a lot of speech interpretation.

A great capture of neatly lined-up buffalo.

Ndan.

Hi Agoes,
they look really angry to you, you must be really brave to stand front of them;)
