[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I was on a wedding assignment recently, as a second shooter, and this is one of my favorite shots.

This had been heavily processed to create soft surroundings and kind of glowing effect. The finished image as presented here is the one I’d found to be one of the favorite effects, being eminently requested by wedding couples. So, I guess I need to try to make one myself. Not sure whether this is good enough, and I haven’t delivered this to the couple yet. Need your opinion, with thanks in advance.

BTW, the original shot will be posted in WS for comparison on which part had been heavily worked out.

Hi mate

I think you have done well with the light and the sharp detail of her face, the flowers, and the dress. Very well composed, too!

The PP is ok but unfortunately the veil created a problem that I don't think you've been able to successfully overcome. The veil should be sharply in focus, but the objects behind it should be blurred; but that's way too hard to recreate in PP.

I actually like the unaltered original, it doesn't need that soft background bokeh!

hi Ramdan
beautiful Malaysian`s girl(women)
god work
regards Bane

Assalammualaikum Ram,
I liked this one better. The background is muted better and your halo/glow effect around her has that soft "fuzziness" which is just enough to my liking. Anymore and it would be "unnatural".

Glow/Halo should be soft, flimsy and gradually thinning. The idea is, halo is to express the subject but not making itself too obvious that it takes away attention to the subject. Anything you put into the photo should enhanced the subject more but not drawing attention to the enhancement.

And I enjoy watching her face and the bouquet in front of her. In wedding, your best gift is when the bride is happy with your works. I think, she will.

Abg

Hi Ramdan,
The bride's smile and happiness is beautifully captured. Lighting is quite effective, you did well in the focusing department. I honestly prefer the original. My best regards...Danilo

A very beautiful model and bride here Ramdan! I love the glow here! Nice and sharp, her dress is very beautiful! I've never seen green roses! She must be very happy with this shot!

Hello Ramdan.
Not bad at all, but maybe the transition link is a bit too harsh. (too abrubt)
It should be more like a flashlight from the background.
Not sure if you had used 'highlight' (like in Picasa) it would look better.
But i'm sure they will be very happy with this result too.
Terima kasih.
Jan

a glowing smile indeed! well captured Ramdan. even without the glow effect its a perfect shot for me.

Salam
Agoes
