[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Another shot of a mimosa pudica aka Touch-Me-Not flower. I had tried to exploit a natural side/backlighting (bounced to fill light onto the flower using my t-shirt) to give the flower an extra crispness.

Instead of composing the subject against a plain neither colored nor dark muted background, I’d tried to give my subject a painting impression background that has a daub knife painting technique effect – something I had accidentally captured in this shot. Not really the same, since the later was made using a 2.8 macro lens (nice bokeh), but I think I am happy with the final shot of the (more than) 10 attempts – not sure what about others’ eyes.

Trying to get more details of this 12mm flower, a +4 macro filter had been attached to my lens during the making of this shot.

Nice shot Ramdan,

While the background does look nice I think it takes away some attention from the subject. It's too bright in my opinion. I think the flower would stand out better against a darker backdrop. Might not have been possible at all, I don't know.

The focus and sharpness is great and the colors too.

Nice exercise in composition and subject here Ramdan. Good use of light and good metering - and very sharp and crisp for such a slow shutter!

Salam Ramdan,
mimosa is such a beautiful object for excellent shooting. Its colour is very rich and dense, its shape is very unique, its challenges is veery high. To be able to produce like this one, is a sweating experience.
Brilliant presentation with beautiful position
and pleasant background.
