Hi Folks,
Here is a water buffalo, perhaps taking its turn guarding the mud pond where the rest of its herdfellows were still enjoying the mud bath.
In Asia, in the rural countryside where there are rice filed there are herds of them grazing somewhere.
The beasts love to soak in mud pool to cool off and could soak all day long and just lie in mud until they get either hungry or when it is getting dark or cold.

A good, solid capture of this water buffalo - in Filipino it's 'carabao,' perhaps similar in Malay?

it is such a lovely shot of this buffalo. Excellent pose and full clarity cladded with mud. He is still as handsome and macho as his nature.
It is hard to get it in Kedah.
