i am reaching out to you,
so hold on...

no matter how broken,
no matter how scarred,
don't give up...

the biggest mistake is not failing oneself,
but to continue failing within ourselves.

i believe our biggest enemy is buried deep within us,
the greater the defeat,
the sweeter the victory.....
so, hold on....be strong.

this is a photo taken some time ago, i was full of grief when i found this beautiful 'Raja Brooke' (national butterfly of Malaysia), unable to fly, making it's way onwards....

it's even sadder that there's nothing i could do about it but to cheer for its courage and learn from its strength.

hope the photo is inspirational for u guys as it is to me:)

pp work,
sharpened, lowered the saturation and added text.

Eleen, definitely posted at a time when I needed a "boost" to keep going myself. Mother Nature can seem very cruel at times when we see these beautiful creatures broken, but it is nature's way and this photo gives us strength to try harder when a small delicate butterfly can still continue trying against all odds, we realize just how lucky we really are.Lovely and pognaint photo today. TFS...:O)

God, so hurt..
yesterday i saved life for worker-bee, she was muddled in a material with much fine threads..
i did it with my fingers, scardly, but needful it was..
i see that butterfly, i want to change situation of his broken wings..it looks so fragile...
but i can't
even photoshop can't do it..
take care..

Nice compo and nice colours too, Eleen. Beautiful butterfly too, pity it was in this sad situation...
I think your text is drowning in the background though, maybe you could have made it more prominent by using a more contrasting colour, and using 2 layers on it, the lower one shifted a bit to create some depth...
Anyway, TFS picture and note!

very very good photo!! i really like the PP works.. nice composition and thanks for sharing the notes too... i felt so sorry about the butterfly..

Very nicely arranged, love the texture background, was that PP? Not so keen on such a prominant caption, but that's a subjective thing.

nice shot, i like the lightning, but i think there's a little bit to less contrast with the bg.it's a little dark imo.the composistion on the otherhand is very good!

Wow, that is a powerful shot - a butterfly with a broken wing. I think the text could have been left out. The image which you have composed very well with all that empty space it can no longer fly into screams its own story. The note is fanstastic though, I am referring to the text in the frame which always disturbs me slightly (it turns a photo into a poster for me)

Hi Eleen,

A powerful picture with a strong message, I like the way you have presented it. I know how you feel, Images like these upset me too as I want to help the butterfly, however it is nature. Hopefully he was in no pain. Excellent work!

John
