Very nice composition and great light & colours in this one, Lawrence. I like the shadow of the strap of the sandal with the leaves beside it like the sandal was abandonned over the fall after a great summer. Well done!

Lawrence,
besides the very pleasing composition,
it is the texture that makes this picture for me.
There is the close regular rib of the sandal, the grit of sand, stone and smoothness of the upturned leaves, and lastly the veined undersurface of the broken leaf. Just lovely.

Hi! Lawrence,

What caught my attention here was the side lighting effect on the ribbed insole, similar to the effect of the tide on sand. This gave a "Land of the Giants"(Tv Series 80's) effect to the scale of the flip flop. I am never that brave enough to give this size of a white boarder, but it works so well here.
The composition and content is so simple yet so effective and I really took to it straight off.
