[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
From a pond in a park in TTDI, KL. Taken with the lens that came with the camera. Didn't know anything about post processing then. The pictures were all flat, soft & without any depth. I didn't like the overall colors either. Now with more knowledge about post processing I'm happy with my camera again - my first digital slr & the first camera I own after I lost my last one about ten years ago. At first I thought there was something wrong with the lens. So I upgraded to Canon 17-85mm IS USM. That wasn't really necessary. Have no regret with the upgrade at all - just the lack of understanding before the decision.
This flower is one of the first pictures I took. Didn't like it at all. Now with some knowledge of post processing & applying it to this picture I begin to like it a lot. I don't fancy doing all the post processing work on all the pictures I had taken. It's all too time consuming!

Nice Shot and Colors! DOF is also very well done. The Lotus just seems to come out at you. Welcome back to photography and welcome to TL. Take care...

Hi, Thank you for visiting my photo. I have come to look at your gallery and enjoy your photos. I have just got my first digital SLR camera too the same as yours. I haven't taken many pics with it yet though, only had it a week and it is cold and snowy here in Canad, so I haven't been out much.
Anyway, as your say in your note, you are learning about pp work. It takes a while to get used to doing it, but it is very well worth it because you can do so many things to your photos.
For this one, although it isi a very nice photo it is too central in the frame and there is too much background to accentuate the flower. To make it more dynamic I have cropped it and made a frame. I will post a workshop. Keep learning your post processing work, it really helps.

PS. I'm no expert, I am just an amateur but enjoy playing with photos.

Salam Latiff,
thanks for your advice on my white rhodo. Youre right Latiff when talking about knowledge applications, softwares and the PP.
I think I like your White lotus very much. It emerges out of the field. So white...Ill take your advise.Coz you have undergone it earlier..tasted the salt earlier. Great contribution for a learner like me. Im yet to learn PP from Jusni ( actually he is the one who ask me to join this club). He is very near to my office, about 10 meters away. What a nice guy he is...tak lokek ilmu..hanya tanya saja dia habaq. So do you.
It is only that I dont have much time to spend.

Salam,
Foozi.

Outstanding posting!!! Simply perfect!
Congratulations and best regards,
