after months of planning, we finally got booked in kandooma resort. maldives is one of our dream destinations. located in the indian ocean, this chain of islands are on the verge of extinction due to global warming which the islands rise only three feet above sea level.

we took this once in a lifetime opportunity to experience this holiday. i was able to shoot sunrise seascapes twice and none of sunset scenery because either too lazy or tired to move. a five-day stay wasn't enough to be trapped in an island like this.

we found a rocky beach nearby our villa where the currents were strong.

shots fired via nikita (d300) using uwa (10-20mm) with cpl and square gnd filters mounted on a tripod and cable release (the only casualty of our trek which swam by itself).

thanks for viewing!

Hi Jeff:
beautiful view on this picture.
well done
congratulations

regards

Beautiful shot.

I like your composition and that line of dark clouds fits in great.

The motion blur looks good.

I would add some more contrast to give the colours as slight boos and darken the shadows on the rocks a little. That would also bring out the rim light on the rocks.

Cheers,
Jens

hello jeff,

this is out of this world, colors, effect and light/shadow, I like the POV that makes the water flows smoothly into the frame, and takes the eyes right to the far waves rolling to the shore!
the sky is absolutely dramatic, sharpness is nice on the stones in the FG.. excellent work and composition...

my compliments
suzy
