[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
One of the cinder cones of Khorgo Volcano. There is a lake in this dormant crater. Sorry for the small size but the film was scanned in Mongolia (at 580 pixels, instead of the usual 1780 pixels I get in Korea).

Not far from the caldera lake of the "Great White Lake", is this old cinder cone crater, covered in slippery pumicestone & filled with an oxbow shaped lake. Behind me here, is yet another cone, which I gave up climbing after a fall & cut wrist. Then I noticed that there was a set of stairs to the left of the blue ribboned 'ovoo' (A sacred pile of stones used in Tibetan styled Buddhism) which would have allowed easier access.

Yes I see the lake but the arid season must have started for 'dry' is the overall impression I get from viewing this exotic landscape. Good depth. The mountains from a distance appear graceful with its curves. Geetings! Danilo
