Hey hey, jumping through old architecture - than the tourists are happy ;-)

We visited the Kuthodaw Pagoda in Mandalay - often called the world’s largest book.

In the middle is a wonderful golden Stupa.
The Stupa itself, connected to the outside entry by means of a long corridor, is set in the middle of a thirteen acre field of 729 pitaka pagodas or shrines (Dama Cetis). Each shrine contains a marble slab, inscribed on both sides with the Pali script text, Theravada Buddhism’s sacred texts. Taken together, they contain the entire text of the Tipitaka and thus form “the world’s largest book.”

It was an impressive visit there and I loved these cute squirrels.

Hi Sabine,
In the thumnail it looked like a skinny cat..!
I see now it is not, more likely a busy squirrel jejeje...
Well captured in action, freeze it is!
Nicely composed too, I like this one...
Greetings,
Pablo -

Wonderful Wishnu!!!
So scene in place like this!!!
Great and lucky shot!
Tomasz

She should become your full-time model (I guess taking her with you was out of the question, huh? :)). Great catch!!!

I see you use the same configuration as me, Sabine. And it did an excellent job here. Nice jumping entry, compo is great but I think the picture really didn't need a black frame - nor any other colour, in fact.

Wow, you have to be quick to catch one like this. Good work catching him in mid stride.

Excellent lucky shot, Sabine.
I presume, you are the one who take the pictures or is it Stephan?
Second question, Bavaria is Dutch bier, what has that to do with Memmingen? joking.!

Great capture. Exactly at the right time. Interesting building as well and yes these squirrels are sweet.

Hi Sabine,

How did you find it??!? :)
You've captured it so well here! Unfortunately, it's not fond of modelling and photos... :)) You should promise it a nut or something... :))
Nice shot with great details and lighting!
Well done!

You have fast hands and eyes Wishnu! You are very lucky too to have a white background for airborne squirrel. This composition could be improved if you cropped the left hand side opening so that the black area is out and the eyes terminate on the squirrel, giving the squirrel more importance.

Regards,
Andre'

Good timing. Photo is nice and sharp.
Andrei

heey this is funny photo...

:)
i like it..

Great capture Sabine! You are very talented nature photographer, you catch them perfect!
Very enjoyable shot!
Elif

Bound to be some differences of opinion re composition but it works OK for me, with the squirrel being large enough within the image and the environment shown to some advantage. There is always a tighter crop ;) Fact is that the squirrel is such a strong subject in all that off-white that the eyes go straight there. After that, a wandering eye takes in the background and that in itself is packed with details ...
Good timing!!

Wow! Great catch with the mid-air jump. You did extremely well to catch this. You have a quick trigger finger. :-)
The architiecture is interesting but it is the squirrel who is the star of this shot. Your notes are interesting too and that place sounds a lovely place to visit and see a different kind of culture.
PS. Thanks for visiting my latest photos and leaving comments.
Cheers Joan

Run Squirel run!

Perfect timing. Great action shot.

Hello Sabine,

I adored that here, that that a jump
of shot, beautiful visual, what runs so much.
Great and lucky shot!
beautiful visual, the white bottom gave
a beautiful prominence in the squirrel.
Congratulations

Sérgio

:) Waah ever such an interesting shot! I really like the colour of the 'animal' coming back into the "windowbars". It makes it a good colourscheme.

Very good capture and very sharp picture for such quick jump. Great photo!

Best wishes Wishnu,

Goran

Hi
But nice caught. Congratulations. It is always necessary to be ready for the shot! Good job.
Anna

Hi Sabine,
I went a bit back in your portifolio and found this great shot. The timing and composition are perfect. The contrast of the squirrel and the white building is supurb! Very well seen my dear Sabine. Again an interesting picture from your hand. TFS.
Hans
