Hello my friends.

Today I'd like to return to my great visit in the marvelous Myanmar/Burma.
Here is a shot of a beautiful place at the top of Mandalay-Hill. Up there is a Pagoda of the famous Peshawar-Relic.
To go up to the top of the mountain all visitors and pilgrims have to climb the 1.729 steps of the covered southern stairway with its magnificent guardian chinthe (half-lion, half-dragon) at the entry.
(Shal I tell you that you also can use a Jeep and than the escalator - as we did???) ;-)

I loved all that golden bells against the blue sky - I hope you also do, bye.

I like compo, colour, sharpness, lights and POV. Nice shot. Good job.
TFS.DT.

Very good DoF in this image. You managed to keep the whole tower in focus, while slightly blurring the sky, for a very strong effect. Love your title too: I can hear the bells! Well done!

Very nicely captured, Sabine. I like your POV and your sharp DOF and your choice of showing only a section of the tower. Nice golden colour against the blue sky. Very fascinating to see pictures from Myanmar as not that many people visit this country. Well done!

Interesting shot with great gold color againt blue sky. The sound should be amazing. Well done.
Mitra

I recently looked at temple bells on TE, and my reaction here is the same: this should come with a sound track! Wonderful colors of gold against the deep blue sky!
Cheers
Otto

Really interesting POV. The intense blue sky makes the perfect backdrop for the gold bells. Well done.

I like that! From any direction it came from... we are sure to hear sound of a lot of bells when the wind is enough present! The sound would be something to hear! And so colorful its true!

Hello Sabine,
This is a lovely bell tower!
Wonderful colour contrast, details are very well captured...
Simple but effective composition and I have no problems understanding the jeep is preferred when temp is... 40C?
Greetings,
Pablo -

wonderful job & alles gute, thor.

Hi Sabine,
What a beautiful capture. This gilded tower with its multiple small bells is fascinating. Your title is also very evocative. It seems me to see all the monks with orange dresses running up for the prayer. Thank you to involve us in this remote and attractive country. Bravo! Annie

Hallo Sabine,
Excellent photo from Mandalay.
I like your colors,bg,pov, dof, focus, sharpness, framing, details of the golden bells and note.Danke :)
Chris

Haldian

Great story and amazing place.
Thank you for sharing
have a nice day
Aga

Very interesting concept. The oversaturation and high contract works very well with the gold.

Cheers!

Ben.

I like the composition, very sharp, nice lighting and details, it look really great.

Hallo Sabine,

Janusz

Hello Sabine!

I wonder, No mechanism here to activate them. They seem to be only ringing if the wind is blowing hard enough. The sound must be quite good, looking at the various sizes of bells.

Well seen and captured. Great contrasts and colors. Perhaps a vertical shot would have been more appriate here , and have the tower also off-centered. Just a tought.

Many thanks for your recent visits and comments. It is always a pleasure to ear from you.
Cheers!
Robert

Hi Sabine,
Great sharp and colourful shot you show here. You chose a perfect POV and DOF. Together with the note is it an excellent posting. I almost can hear the bells tinkeling. Congratualtions with this photo! TFS.
Hans

:) Later...

As promised...

Lovely golden colours against a blue sky. I wonder if it would have also worked well shot in Portrait?

Andrew

Wonderful Sabine and the noise of the bells must be incredible. Well composed with the gold against the blue. Excellent detail and simply framed. TFS,
David

This is wonderful photo. Lovely subject. It sounds like you had a great time. It is certainly much more spiritual to climb the steps than use the escalator. Excellent POV and great colours

Toll gemacht. Vielen Dank! - Cordelia :)

Hi Sabine

When I saw this as a thumbnail it reminded my of the Daleks in Dr Who, but when opened I can see it is far more beautiful. Thanks you!
