Marvelous shot here Freddie! Full of emotion, so sad. I hate to hear of disasters in other countries! I feel so powerless over it all. Thanks for the pic, reminds me of how grateful I am!

One of the more powerfull photo I saw on TL, our little perfect flower and landscape pictures seem to be out of reason suddenly.

Hi Freddie,
a very touching tribute to the victims of Narjis in Myanmar indeed. yes, i do hope too that the poeple that you've met are still alive.
i like the note, esp. the quote by Jose Rizal, a true and outstanding statesman i admire most.
Thanks, pal.
Regards
Agoes

HI Fred
It is a very sad event, and not being to get aid from other nations because of the rulings, has got to be the most inhuman
gesture since WW2.
You have a great capture and I particularly like how you left the child's face to stand out amonst them all. Hoping your wish comes true.

hello Freddie,
a sensitive note accompanies a picture that is fitting for the topic. That you took your inspiration for the PP work from Schindler's List demonstrates intelligence on your part. i share your sadness.

very touching comment
the b&w filter gives the picture a nice, melancholy mood. it's sad to think what goes on in other countries, and yet I sit here with all the luxuries America holds.
I think you could brighten the whole thing up a bit and that would make it better.
tfs!

Hi Freddie
Thanks for sharing. This photo struck a cord since we are also experiencing similar events in ours as well as the neighbouring Zimbabwe. Such a sad world...

Fred,
" If you don't know me by now, you'll ... "
( it's a song - don't let me sing it )
so, I must speak my mind ...
It's a catching shot, full of emotion
and a good composition.
But ( now it comes - do you here the drums ? )
I'm sorry to say ( no I'm not, just an expression )
IMO ( so I'm always " save " )
it's UE and the range between black and white is far to narrow, so you lost detail.
The coloured face of the child ...
indeed it stands out but, in this photo,
not the best idea.
So great shot, not so good PP-work for me.
See you later

Hie Freddie,
You really went to Burma during the aftermath of the Cyclone Nargis? I really hope things will change soon and someone overthrow the corrupted junta soon.
