Not bad, the attention to all of the subjects kind of go all over, The shot has a pretty good amount of noise to it especially on the background and a lot of the solid layers. There seems to be some darkening halos around two of the bandannas on the heads of the two in front. It would also be nice to see more of the baby on the back of the other vs just the feet.

it's so sad, and yet, it's the only one about I can write.....
I've seen the rest.
Absolutely impressive, Ruud.I can't shoot......thank you.

Green smile:)

It's tough seeing adults go through poverty, let alone children. Yes, their eyes have a mixture of sadness and of hope, especially for the girl at the left. You have captured that emotion and the theme well with the sepia tones, the grain, and the lighting is wonderful. Very beautiful tribute to these children, I hope a happy and fullfilling future for them...

A great sad picture. Hard to think of the sadness that is around us everyday. A great series you have here. Makes people think.

Hallo Ruud.
Heel erg indringend deze opname. je word er zo al stil van laat staan als je aan he potograveren ben. Het gevoel kan erg dubbel zijn.

Hi Ruud,
This photo is the stronger and more moving of your series. Also the most succeeded, I believe. It has undeniable artisitic qualities. The sepia tones, the grain, the light especially which carves the features of these children, highlighting particularly the expression of their imploring eyes.

"Let us not kill the beauty of the world", sings a poet of my country. The beauty of the world it is before all the children! Very well seen and done. Best regards! Annie

The world is full of poverty indeed, Ruud. To us (West-)Europeans at least. But I think you have to see this in a local context. IMO the best way to help out is to support ngo's like Unicef or Plan Int. that have local projects.
Nice picture in a good photojournalist style.

Hi Ruud,

This serie of photos concerning poverty is heart touching and creates many questions about the world we live. As the others the sepia and grainy look make them moody and special.

Hi Ruud,

This is a powerful photo of poverty, yes, children are the real victims of poverty, I do hope and pray they'd make it through tough times in life.

Good job in using sepia and grains for this, it adds more drama to the already sad scene.

Cheerio,
Kaye
