| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| Marriages in Nepal are arranged. Your parents know best for you. His father left when his mother was pregnant. To survive, his mother washes clothes for other people. He comes along on the job with her, no one minds. She cannot divorce her husband, and cannot remarry. He can have more than one wife, even though it is "illegal", it is common. |

This brings tears to my eyes. A picture FULL of emotion. Such a beautiful little one. I feel for his mother. Some peoples lives are so very hard. An excellent picture! TFS
Hi Gloria,
A very deep and moving picture here. I would like to thank you for sharing this part of the world with us. It makes us stop and think about how fortunate we are living in Western civilisations. Black and white is an effective choice for this portrait. The way you have captured emotion in an innocent child's eyes that have seen and suffered much, is beautiful.
I find the background a bit distracting and so I've done a little workshop, let me know what you think.

This little one's face is full of concern and worry that should never belong to one so young. He is not leading an easy life. I feel sorry for him and his mother, and hope that the ex gets hit by a truck so that she can remarry. Thanks for sharing. Karey
