[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
With this shot I close the week of the mountains. In 2000 we planed to be on the top of the world. Boys dream. Of coarse this was not possible with a average age of 48 years in the group. But as climbers we know to pick the mountain that fit us. We all have our personal height. We picked this one far above Europe heights. The start was on 3 o clock in the morning and to be on 11.30 on top. The photo thus not show the top. Belief me some of use cried.

You chose a great one for your grand finale. Its all working really fine, composition, colours, dof. You captured the high-life under clouds in very natural colours. Good work.

A colourful shot in that desolated area.
Must have been a hell of a job to come there. Great work, Ruud.

Nice pov and composition, Ruud. I like the clouds behind. Well captured.

Interesting capture from a impressive part of the world.I like the colors here a lot.
The small and reliable MX was the best camera for this climb,it was my first SLR back in ´81.

Beautiful shot Ruud. This photo captures a great deal of excitement on its own, and your note adds to that feel. I'm sure that the experience that you and your fellow climbers had will remain a special one for you all.

Hi Ruud

A wonderful shot of the prayer flags on the Himalayas. Good pov color & sharpness. Tfs.

What a great shot of the mountain. From the thumbnail I thought I was looking at yachts on a stormy sea, so I was surprised when I opened it up. This is really a magical place with the wispy clouds around and the barren and snow rocks. A great achievement to have climbed and photographed. Well done.

1st thanks for your nice comments and adding my pic in your favorite.
That one is really a very great shot you taken. I think you love hiking. It is great hobby. Thanks for sharing.

Wonderful sky, earth and wind. The colours are great too. Quite an awesome shot, thank you...
Janice

But, it seems to me that you WERE on top of the world. I also know that you will always remember that specific day, because that day when you stood there, looking at that wild beauty, will be foreover inprinted in your mind.
My very best compliments!

Shelly.
