Wat ontzettend om dit te zien! Wat zal dit een indruk op je gemaakt hebben! Op mij doet de foto het al.
Wat voel je je dan machteloos...

Bedankt dat je deze foto met ons deelt, zodat de vrouw toch een boodschap door mag geven. Inderdaad weet je hoe goed we het hier hebben en hoe goed we het zelf hebben, maar ook de ernst, de pijn, de honger, het verdriet in andere landen en op andere plekken. Leg het niet naast je neer!! Doe er iets mee!!

Heftig Ruud, heel heftig.
Ik geloof dat ik zelf niet zou durven om een foto als deze te maken, maar je hebt gelijk! De wereld mag dit best zien.

De sfeer komt door de sepia kleur ook erg goed tot zijn recht.

wow... I can speak when i saw this portrait,
its that real ?
but for journalistic photography its perfect.
a lot of Message for humanity, you have a good package this image very well with very well result. Salute for you.
colors, contras, sharp and POV so perfect, we don’t have to read anything on your note but we automatically knows what going on over there.
I hope in 2007, we don’t have to see something like this on future.

A strong photo with a strong message! You did a great job here with the contrast and colours! She looks like she's a part of the ground!!!!

One of the above critiques states they don't know whether they would have posted it. As one can see from my gallery I have posted some less than pleasant, somewhat controversial shots too. While photography can show us all that is beautiful in life and the world, it also helps us see all that is wrong or foul with the world. At times photos may even help bring about a change.

This shot is very powerful with excellent composition.

A powerful image indeed, such images are necessary, we all need to be made aware of the reality of life for some of our fellow citizens. It feels inconsequential to comment on the technical aspects of the image, suffice to say that it is one of your best.

brilliant photo, although I don't if I would have posted it or not, it carries a very strong message! I guess people need to be made aware of it... a few years ago I took a photo of a little boy in Mozambique that was days away from dying from hunger and you wish you could just help every hungry person in this world, great to remember these when we indulge at our overflowing tables

Intensely sad. It brings a tear to my eye. I recently broke two bones in my ankle as well as dislocating it and snapping one tendon (my Scooter landed on it at about 60kmh). I was luckier than this poor woman. I was rushed to hospital operated on and given a morphine drip all within six hours. Yes, my life is good. Thank you for having the courage to share this.

Helaas behoort dit tot de realiteit in veel landen,ook "vakantielanden" heb mezelf ook vaak afgevraagd GVD wat doe ik hier en wat moet ik hier mee????
Goed dat je dit laat zien Ruud,dan ga je eens realiseren en relativeren hoe bevoorrecht wij zijn en dat we gewoon niet moeten lullen en ouwehoeren!
