[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Pokhara is Nepal's third largest city and because of its unique geographic location it's quite a mystical place in already (for the westerners) very mystical country. :) Regardless of fact that during the history Pokhara was important trading place on the route between India and Tibet, the first road to Pokhara was built in 1968. Until then Pokhara was accessible only by foot. In the late 60's when road was finally built, Pokhara was very quickly discovered by hippies who found the perfect place for practicing their life philosophy. :)
Settled at the altitude of just over 1000m Pokhara has to thank its popularity to the beautiful lake Phewa Tal, very pleasant climate (15-20 C during winter and 30-35 C during summer) and to the beautiful Himalayan peaks visible from the city. In no other place mountains rise so quickly from the 1000 to 8000 m high.
Puddling the legs in the lake with banana trees all around, watching at the beautiful 8000m peaks reflection in the water obviously create opportunity to think about various philosophical questions... :)
For the less spiritual and more adventureus people there are still beautiful views and many many great trekking routes to plan in this very very nice place on Earth.

Hello Goran. Your image contains beautiful reflections and colors. The only thing that bothers me is those black spots in the corners. I would simply crop those parts.

Hello Goran, nice shot and very informative note! I like how the snow capped mountains line the horizon. However I must agree with Jorge. The vignetting at the corners is very distracting. You may have used a hood on a very wide lens and you may not have noticed it when you composed the shot, but it is very important to take a mental note of this the next time.

A lovely example of reflective study! And a beautiful view too. I agree about the black bits in the cornersm but still worth two points for the colours and clarity of the composition,

A beautiful image from this picturesque place!
Very well composed with a fine reflection, impressive moluntain range in the background...
I like the colours, but digital noise can easily be reduced by a pass through NeatImage or a similar software...

Hi Goran,

A very nice view indeed. This shot can be improved a lot by post processing. I can show you in a workshop if you want to. The steps would be:

*White balance (it is to red)
*Noise reduction
*Adding contrast
*Cloning the dark corners out.
*Sharpening

Hi Goran, this image is beautiful. This is a great landscape, rich of colours and reflections.
Your pov is very well done. Love the different layers of the snow covered mountains and the houses on the shore line. Great fall image!

I did a ws for you, hope you like. But when uploaded, I see that there is still some residual noise. But I could not reduce the noise more than that without softning the edges.

Nice colors.
The mountains in the background might bee a little over exposed, but never mind that, beautiful shot.
